Online training in Tunisia, with a live instructor

Sapience is a Tunisian online learning platform. Every course is run by an instructor who teaches live lessons in a virtual classroom, sets assignments, grades them and tracks your progress. You learn from home, on a computer, tablet or smartphone, without travelling to a training centre.

How does online training work on Sapience?

  1. Create your learner account. Signing up to the platform is free.
  2. Choose your course. Its page shows the instructor, the syllabus, the duration and the price in Tunisian dinars (TND) before you enrol.
  3. Attend the live lessons. They appear in your dashboard and calendar, and you get a reminder before each lesson.
  4. Practise between lessons. Assignments submitted online, quizzes and resources shared by the instructor.
  5. Complete your course. When the instructor provides one, a certificate of completion is issued at the end of the course.

Distance learning, without learning alone

Many online courses are little more than recorded videos. On Sapience, the heart of the course is the live lesson: you see and hear your instructor, ask questions as they come up and answer quizzes during the session. See how a live online courses works and what the virtual classroom offers.

Depending on the course, live lessons come with material you can study at your own pace: course notes, documents and exercises.

Who is our online training for?

  • Pupils and students who want regular support, with an instructor who marks their work.
  • Employees who train alongside their job, in the evening or at the weekend.
  • Job seekers and people changing careers who want to learn a specific skill.

  • Questions to the instructor and live quizzes during the lesson
  • Shared resources: documents, links and the instructor’s notes
  • Assignments submitted online, graded, with a report card
  • Attendance tracking and a history of your lessons
  • Messaging and a forum to keep in touch with your instructor
  • Points and badges that reward your commitment

How to choose an online course

Before you enrol, check five things on the course page:

  1. The instructor : their background and experience in the subject.
  2. The syllabus : the skills covered, the number of lessons and the total duration.
  3. The format and schedule : live lessons at set times require regular attendance, so make sure they fit your timetable.
  4. What you get at the end : a private certificate is not worth the same as a diploma or an official certification.
  5. The total price and the refund terms, shown before you pay.

Each of these points is covered in detail in our guide how to choose an online course.

Certificate of completion: what it is worth

At the end of a course, Sapience can issue a certificate of completion. It is a private certificate: it shows that you took and completed the course, but it does not replace a diploma or an official state-issued certification. If an employer or an exam requires a recognised certification, check with the organisation concerned before you enrol.

Pricing and enrolment

Creating your account is free. The price of each course is shown in Tunisian dinars on the course page before you enrol. For a paid course, you can ask for a refund within 7 days of enrolling, provided you have not attended any live lesson (see our terms of use).

Are you an instructor?

Offer your own online course: build your course, schedule your live lessons and follow your learners from your instructor dashboard.

Online training: frequently asked questions

Is online training as effective as classroom training?

It can be, as long as it stays interactive and you practise regularly. That is why Sapience courses are built on live lessons, graded assignments and attendance tracking, rather than videos watched alone.

What equipment do I need?

A recent computer, tablet or smartphone, an up-to-date browser and a stable internet connection (4G, ADSL or fibre). Headphones make listening much more comfortable.

How long does a course last?

It depends on the course: the number of lessons and the total duration are shown on its page.

Are the courses recognised by the state?

No. The certificate of completion issued by Sapience is a private certificate; it does not replace a diploma or an official certification.
